Hello Jim, Are you sure bout this ‘Althaeiflora’? From the erect and elongated petaloids, pale olive green elongated leaves, this picture looks more like ‘Général Leclerc’. The other ‘Althaeiflora’ I know of also have deeply notched guard petals.

I’m reasonably confident about it, not that I have much to go on. The flower seems to match the illustration and description in Chandler and Booth pretty well. Of the petals they say “of a roundish oblong form, with the edges slightly divided”, which I take to mean they are not deeply notched. ‘Général Leclerc’ is not a variety I’ve come across but looking at Yves Chapel’s pictures on the register entry, I totally see why you think it might be that variety. I will investigate further.
