Almost certainly not. It was probably a variety imported from Australia in the 1970’s and trialled by David Trehane. It is in one of the early catalogues of Trehane Camellias that I have, undated but around 1970, but is absent from all the later editions. He donated a lot of his trial plants to the collection in the 1970’s and 80’s.
