    • Living in the UK as I do, my knowledge of camellia availability in Brisbane is pretty much nothing. There used to be a camellia nursery at Palmwoods, it shut a year ago but their website is still going at http://www.camelliaglen.com.au/ so they may be able to help. The towns in the hills north of Brisbane, Maleny up to Mapleton area, are more congenial for Camellias than the lower altitudes, so nurseries in that area or possibly organisations like Maleny Garden Club could be a starting point. I grow Little Liane in my garden, here it needs all the sun it can get and in shade may not flower at all. There are a lot of varieties in the Paradise range and Paradise Plants originally marketed them primarily for hedging. Other varieties might be easier to find, though I really don’t know.
